Polar 01 and 02
Two polished mechanical structures constructed using digitally manipulated footage of escalators from the Underground. Their autonomous functionality symbolizing the rigid efficiency under which capitalist city life operates. Their clock-like form indicates that such mechanisms are in control of representing and manipulating our cognition of time. Caught up in such endless circularities, life becomes an ascetic pursuit, going round in circles, seeking promised happiness and love that is never delivered.

Moving Walkway
Time disfiguration creates an unfamiliar scene wherein individual progress, understood as ‘moving forward’, no longer means anything.
